Next-gen is quickly approaching with Microsoft recently providing even more details on the Xbox Series X, including technical specs like variable shading and the ability to quick resume for multiple games. To go along with this, CD Projekt Red announced that anyone who buys Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One will receive a free upgrade to Xbox Series X, when it’s available. Cyberpunk is the first big game that has acknowledged any kind of cross-gen deal, and it’s something that should be the precedent going forward....

D-Link’s Omna 180 Cam was the first home security camera to support HomeKit, and now D-Link is teasing a handful of new features. The features are detailed in an update the Omna app on iOS, but the actual firmware update to the camera itself still appears to be rolling out. According to the Omna app changelog, the camera is adding a new arm and disarm feature. This feature allows you to enable and disable motion detection for your Omna cameras with a single tap in the Omna application, the company says....

Longtime Arrowverse producer and writer Marc Guggenheim has confirmed yet another DC adaptation is linked to The CW’s five-part Crisis on Infinite Earths mega-event: HBO’s currently airing Watchmen series. A blink-and-you’ll-miss-it reference to the show was seen in Tuesday’s episode of The Flash, which served as a midway point for the crossover before a brief break for the holidays which sees the final two parts airing in January 2020. The franchise-merging crossover, based on the classic comic event from 1985, has been jam-packed with many DC Comics easter eggs and return appearances, ranging from ones which were known ahead of time (like both Tom Welling and Brandon Routh reprising their roles as Clark Kent/Superman and Kevin Conroy finally portraying a live-action Bruce Wayne after voicing the character for decades) to complete surprises no one saw coming, such as Robert Wuhl returning as Alexander Knox from the 1989 Batman film or Tom Ellis appearing as Lucifer Morningstar (of Netflix’s Lucifer) after having denied rumors of doing so....

Crisis on Infinite Earths redeems Brandon Routh’s Superman. The Arrowverse brought Superman to the forefront of its crossover with multiple versions of the Man of Steel. Out of all of them, Brandon Routh’s Superman was an absolute show-stealer, redeeming Routh’s version of the titular character in the film Superman Returns. The CW’s five-part Crisis on Infinite Earths event featured many iconic Supermen from the past. From Tom Welling’s iconic rendition of Clark Kent making an appearance, to Brandon Routh reprising his version of Superman once more, it was a good event for any Superman fan, but mostly for Routh himself....

The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight claimed to be a man with no actual plan, but his actions through the whole movie proved the contrary. Batman and his archenemy the Joker have been adapted to the big screen many times, all of them with a different style and tone. Nolan’s vision of these characters (along with many others from Batman’s universe) was very well received by DC fans and casual viewers, as he offered a darker and more realistic version of Gotham City and its heroes and villains, starting in 2005 with Batman Begins, which introduced Christian Bale as the new Caped Crusader....

According to a Polish gaming insider, the real reasons behind Cyberpunk 2077’s delay are current-generation console limitations. This explanation, if true, would actually make quite a lot of sense, as it certainly wouldn’t be the first time that the aging hardware of the PS4 and Xbox One have hampered more technically ambitious titles as this generation has lagged on. Cyberpunk 2077 had its launch pushed back from April 16 to September 17 of this year, with Polish developer CD Projekt Red citing the need to further squash out bugs and polish the game to a sheen as the reason for the decision....

According to research by cybersecurity company Trend Micro, just half of IT decision makers believe that the board understands cyber risks. Of the 5,321 IT leaders surveyed, 90% said that the C-suite aren’t focused on cybersecurity because they have other priorities, such as digital transformation or improving productivity.
