The CW has officially greenlit Glamorous - an hour-long drama about a gender non-conforming teen and the makeup company where they intern - from Damon Wayans Jr.’s production company. Glamorous marks another expansion of the CW’s horizons in terms of LGBTQ+ representation, especially as it comes on the heels of Batwoman’s pilot pick-up and Supergirl’s first transgender superhero. While network television has been incorporating more diversity than ever, genderfluid characters who are not specifically transgender have yet to be seen as protagonists - so this show would mark another first....

A cybersecurity firm have apparently successfully tricked Face ID into unlocking with a specially made mask, imitating a real person’s face. The security researchers say they only unlocked the iPhone X with a real person’s face, so the iPhone could not learn false data from the mask. How much of a security flaw this really represents is up for debate of course. Making the mask only cost $150 in materials, but required access to a detailed scan of the person’s facial features and many hours of work by artists …...

An article from TechCrunch shows how FedEx is working on a new feature called ‘Crosstrack’ for its mobile app. The shipping and receiving giant is testing the option to track deliveries from other services so users can do it all in one app. FedEx’s new feature will track expected deliveries in a separate section of the app from where FedEx delivery info is shown. Daniel Radcliffe has actual guns violently bolted to his hands against his will in the trailer for the dark comedy Guns Akimbo. Best known for his roles in the Harry Potter films, Daniel Radcliffe has since gone on to star in a variety of films that span genres, from Trainwreck to Kill Your Darlings. The Arrowverse’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” CW crossover event is going to shake things up for a number of DC shows, but it could also pave the way for the future with the Canaries spin-off.
