The latest X-Men movie Dark Phoenix scored the lowest opening day box office total of any film in the long-running franchise. In 2000, 20th Century Fox kicked off the X-Men franchise in memorable fashion, introducing the first cinematic iteration of the fabled comic book superhero team. The Arrowverse kicked off with Arrow all the way back in 2012, and the show would later go on to create such spinoffs as The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. Garrett made his debut as The Monitor in the show’s last crossover, Elseworlds. First seen on Earth 90 as it lay on the verge of collapse, he revealed himself in possession of The Book of Destiny....

Olivia Munn has confirmed that her X-Men: Apocalypse character Psylocke does not appear in the upcoming Dark Phoenix. Directed by Simon Kinberg, Dark Phoenix takes on the fan-favorite comic book storyline in which Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) loses control of her abilities and is transformed into an all-powerful super-being. The Dark Phoenix arc was of course tackled previously by X-Men: The Last Stand, but that particular version was largely rejected by fans....

According to Arrowverse concept artist Andy Poon, Kevin Conroy is playing Kingdom Come Batman in the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event. Conroy became famous for voicing the Caped Crusader in the 1990s’ widely celebrated Batman: The Animated Series, and has continued to voice him across a wide variety of DC cartoon TV shows, animated films, and video games over the decades since. The Apple Watch’s ECG feature can officially only indicate atrial fibrillation, but an anesthesiologist working at a California hospital says that it picked up on a critical heart disease so serious that he requires a bypass operation. Dr. Donald W Milne from Antelope Valley Hospital shared the story with us and has also written to Tim Cook … Milne said that detecting the critical heart disease early enough to treat it saved his life....

An official trailer for The Curse of La Llorona has arrived. This year’s Dumbo movie reunites Danny DeVito with Tim Burton for Disney’s live-action adaptation of the animated classic of the same name. While it’s very much a remake in some ways, 2019’s Dumbo movie is an original story that fans of the animated movie as well as general audiences will enjoy - and DeVito is looking to help out with that. Co-starring alongside the likes of Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Eva Green, and Alan Arkin, among others, DeVito plays circus ringmaster Max Medici, who owns a small town circus that’s acquired by Keaton’s ominous character....

With news breaking that the Punisher will get his own Netflix series set within the grim and gritty back alleys of the streaming services’ corner of the Marvel Universe, it is clear the powers that be at both Marvel and Netflix have been left sufficiently impressed with actor Jon Bernthal’s rendition of the gun-toting vigilante. While the folks who make the decisions on which character gets his or her own show have been suitably spellbound, Bernthal’s next and possibly more difficult challenge will be to convince viewers the solo antics of Frank Castle are in fact binge-worthy with his role in Daredevil season 2....
