Darksiders 3’s Keepers of the Void DLC adds some new puzzle gameplay to the action of the core game, but doesn’t quite leave a lasting impression. Crytek, the company behind CryEngine and the popular Crysis series, is planning to release a new tactical action game later this year for iOS called ‘The Collectibles’. We’re told the company implemented support for Apple’s new MFi gaming controller framework just in time to give developers a preview of the game and new controls during a session last week at WWDC. Pokémon GO has today released an interesting ‘nature documentary-style’ ad promoting the game and the recent addition of new Pokémon. Meanwhile, Pokémon GO developer Niantic has purchased an AR startup. The new ad is narrated by actor and comedian Stephen Fry and has a Planet Earth vibe to it. The 21st Annual Critics’ Choice Awards took place in Santa Monica last night, giving us some indication of what movies may win big at this year’s Academy Awards in February. Mad Max: Fury Road led the way in the Critics’ Choice movie nominations, with 13 nods. It managed to pick up nine of those awards, including Best Director for George Miller. Following on from his Golden Globe win, Leonardo DiCaprio won Best Actor for his role in The Revenant; another clue pointing toward him winning the Oscar....

Marvel Studios’ Phase Three is ready to begin with Captain America: Civil War, in which two of the franchise’s biggest heroes will face off against each other: Captain America and Iron Man.
