Recent Dancing With the Stars castoff Karamo Brown says Sean Spicer “can’t dance.” Now that he’s been booted off the show, Brown is dishing about his time in the competition, as well as his true feelings about the former White House Press Secretary.

The Queer Eye star made the disclosure on a recent episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Brown’s stint on Dancing With the Stars ended on the Halloween episode. Although his scores throughout the competition were strong, he was eliminated due to lack of audience support. By contrast, Spicer’s time on the show continued despite low numbers from the judges. He was a clear fan favorite, playing to conservative Middle America and southern viewers.

“He can’t dance!” Brown said, according to People, adding, “I was robbed, I should have still been there.” Brown has reason to be frustrated.  Dancing With the Stars season 28 brought a change to the judging process, allowing the panel to boot dancers from the ballroom after they’ve given their initial scores, and once the votes from the viewers are tabulated. However, Spicer was so popular with the viewing audience, it took some time to land in the bottom two. This created a dilemma for the judges, and has led eliminated cast members to feel resentful about their hard work going down the drain.

“Middle America watches the show and they vote for him,” Brown said, remarking on how President Trump has used his Twitter following to drum up support for Spicer to stay on the program. “Our president, who should be doing other stuff, has been tweeting [to] vote for the man!” Judge Carrie Ann Inaba is so incensed by the controversy, she even spoke out about her frustrations, saying:

Despite backlash from the judges and contestants, Spicer’s future on the show was uncertain for a while. Based on his low scores, few expected him make it as far as he did in the competition. Brown’s kindness toward Spicer may have been an attempt to curry favor with the show’s conservative fan base. Now that Brown has been cut, he could be regretting that path.

“There are really great dancers being sent home, but that is part of our show. It’s always been the audience and the judges’ perspective. So I’m not - I can’t be mad at it, but it’s frustrating.”

Although Brown forged a friendship with Spicer, speaking out against his remaining time on Dancing With the Stars is a bit hypocritical at this point. No, Spicer isn’t the best dancer in the competition. He’s not even a decent dancer. The only things that fans of the show have as consolation are the ridiculous costumes and spate of stilted performances the former White House politico delivers. Perhaps that’s why Trump continued to push for viewers’ votes… to continue to shame Spicer, now that they no longer work together in the Oval Office.
