The Dancing with the Stars judges are confused and irritated about the show’s results. The three judges are wondering if the new system of voting is a good one or should they have kept it with the audience and themselves having the final say.
This past week on the hit dancing show, the competition heated up with the return of Dance-Off week. On the November 4th episode, judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli judged the remaining couples on their individual dances where each celebrity danced to a genre they had not previously tried.
Dancing With the Stars was full of surprises this week with Ally Brooke dancing to her own song “Higher” which earned her a perfect score and the competition also brought out the very first ten of the season thanks to Kel Mitchell. Luckily for the fan-favorite, James Van Der Beek, he was granted immunity due to being top of the leader board last week even though his dance made the audience break down into tears. Even though the night was electric and filled with positivity someone, in the end, had to be sent packing, but no one expected it to be two of the highest scored dancers.
The bottom two ended up being Brooke and Kate Flannery from The Office. The first judge to speak up was Carrie Ann, who said on the show (via Us Weekly), “First of all, I just want to say, it’s confusing for me at this point why these are the bottom two.” She continued to explain that the results left her feeling “confused” and a “little irritated.” The judges did not understand the American voters’ reason for keeping low scoring dancers such as Sean Spicer. Fans at home took to social media to agree with Inaba but also point out that the judges had been awarding high points to Spicer so they too, were part of the scoring problem.
All the judges agreed that even though they have nothing against the at-home voters for saving dancers such as Spicer, they’re more upset that the more talented dancers are being sent home. Last week, the judges were caught making faces due to Spicer being saved once again - as they were not pleased. The fact is even his new dance partner, Jenna Johnson, was shocked that the former press secretary was still dancing to see another day. Spicer’s original partner, Lindsay Arnold, had to go home due to a death in the family. Which has made fans wonder - was it President Donald Trump’s tweet urging fans to vote for Spicer that has kept him around this long?
