The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey is preparing to walk down the aisle again and she plans on sharing her wedding to Mike Hill with fans of the hit reality show. The former supermodel and runway coach shared her engagement with the sports news analyst over the summer. Now, fans will be able to enjoy the full details of the two lovebirds upcoming nuptials.
Bailey joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2010 as a close friend of NeNe Leakes. She was dating club owner Peter Thomas when she was introduced in the hit show’s third season along with former castmate Phaedra Parks. She was at first reluctant to join the show after describing it as “too dramatic,” but she had a change of heart after viewing it as a business opportunity that could help further her endeavors. Since being on the show, she has been open about her co-parenting relationship with her ex, actor Leon, and her divorce from Thomas. Following her split from Thomas, fans were excited for Cynthia after she got sent on a blind date with Mike by TV personality Steve Harvey on his talk show. Cynthia and Mike have been inseparable ever since and even created their own hashtag #Chill (combining Cynthia’s name with Mike’s last name). Last season, fans got an up-close and personal look at their budding romance that resulted in the couple getting engaged this past July.
With the show’s 12th season having premiered on Sunday, Cynthia took it upon herself to announce that her wedding to Mike will, in fact, be featured on a future episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She revealed to Us Weekly, “My fans have been on my journey for 10 years. They’ve seen me get married on the show. They’ve seen all my ups and downs in my last marriage [to Peter Thomas], and they have seen me get divorced on the show. They’ve seen me date on the show.” The 52-year-old continued, “It would be totally unfair for them not to see my happily ever after. I want to share it with them because I’m in a great place and I’m happy, and they’ve seen me not always so happy.”
The couple is still in the early phases of wedding planning, Cynthia revealed, “The only thing that we have for sure is the date, which you might have heard. We did decide the date, and we know where it’s going to be.” She continued, “I don’t have a venue, but at least I know what state it’s going to be in, so we’re excited about that. We’re still in the beginning stages of planning everything, but you can rest assured it will be a wedding to remember, no matter how big or small it is.” The couple sees their relationship as a “blessing” due to how they “found each other,” despite both of their reluctance to get married again. Mike has been previously married twice, while Cynthia split from Thomas back in 2016.
Don’t expect her upcoming wedding to be anything like her ceremony with her ex-husband, as The Real Housewives of Atlanta explained that it will be different this time. It’s guaranteed that fans will have their eyes glued to the TV when the wedding airs possibly in season 13.
