New Black Widow fan art immerses the superhero into the futuristic world of Cyberpunk 2077, the highly anticipated upcoming game from CD Projekt Red. Directed by Cate Shortland, the upcoming Marvel movie centers on Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) as she confronts her past with the Red Room program that initially trained her to be an assassin. The upcoming film marks the first solo outing for Scarlett Johansson’s beloved character and takes place between the events in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

Alongside Johansson, the cast also includes Florence Pugh as a fellow Black Widow named Yelena Belova, Rachel Weisz as another Black Widow named Melina Vostokoff, and David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov, otherwise known as Red Guardian. The first trailer dropped back in December and finally gave eagerly-awaiting fans a look at all these characters in action, along with showcasing bits and pieces of the film’s copycat villain, Taskmaster. Since then, a number of clips and trailers have dropped that have only heightened anticipation for Shortland’s upcoming film. On top of that, fan art has also been making the rounds, further adding to the excitement surrounding Natasha’s solo film.

One piece of fan art, in particular, also draws inspiration from CD Projekt Red’s upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077, immersing Natasha into the game’s futuristic landscape of Night City. Digital artist Mizuri brought this collaboration to life, basing the edits on the Black Widow character posters. Not only do the edits look vibrant and stunning, with extra flair from all of the neon, but changes were made to Natasha’s appearance and costume that fit her in seamlessly with the lively cityscape around her. The detail is truly incredible. Check out both of Mizuri’s edits below.

Not only is the edit a fun way to hype Marvel fans for Black Widow, but it’s also a great way to maintain excitement for Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red’s upcoming game is easily the most anticipated one of 2020 but was recently delayed from April to September so the team could finish playtesting and polishing the title before release. As disappointing as that news was at first, it’s a game that will surely be worth the wait.

As for Black Widow, the upcoming Marvel film has had quite the wait as well. Natasha’s solo movie has been 10 years in the making, as her character debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe back in 2009 in Iron Man 2, and has certainly been worth the wait. It’s quickly skyrocketed to become one of this year’s most anticipated films and for good reason. Natasha has always been an interesting character in the Marvel universe, and it’s exciting that she’s finally getting her chance to step into the cinematic spotlight on her own. It’s clear that she’s a beloved character to many, as evident from incredible pieces of fan art like Mizuri’s that’s been making its way onto the internet. Thankfully, fans don’t have to wait too much longer to see Black Widow in action on the silver screen.
