Those who purchase Cyberpunk 2077 on current-generation systems will gain access to a free upgrade to the next-generation version within the same family of systems (PS4 > PS5 and Xbox One > Xbox Series X).
Though, as of right now, you aren’t able to pre order the next-generation versions quite yet, but you’ll likely be able to once the new systems get closer to launch: November 10 for the Xbox Series X and Series S; November 12 for the PlayStation 5.
Here’s what we know about all of the different editions of Cyberpunk 2077, from the current generation to the next-generation, and digital to physical. We’ve also included the pre order bonuses for Cyberpunk 2077 and the various stores and storefronts where you can purchase the game.

There will be a great level of depth in Cyberpunk 2077, with a significant emphasis on customization and allowing you to play the way you want. You’ll be able to join various factions, level up your character, and tackle things in either a violent or diplomatic manner.

Cyberpunk 2077 Pre Order Bonus
Before getting into all the various editions of the game you’ll be able to pre order and purchase, let’s dive into some of the pre order bonuses for Cyberpunk 2077, which are different depending on the retailer you go through.

Current-Gen Standard Editions

You’ll be able to pre-order the standard edition of Cyberpunk 2077 at retail or digitally. If you want to get some of the pre order bonuses, you’ll want to go through the retailers listed above, as the digital editions don’t seem to come with any extra goodies just yet.

Next-Gen Editions
There are still a lot of questions we have about the next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077. What we do know is that you’ll be able to play the current-generation versions on your next-gen machines on November 19. For the most part, playing on a next-gen console will offer slight enhancements, but will mostly be the same experience.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that a true next-gen version will launch at a later date, which will include substantial graphical improvements, and will be available for free. At this point, we don’t know when that will be, but it is coming at some point.

And of course, Cyberpunk 2077 features a wild Collector’s Edition on current-gen systems, with all the goodies you’d expect. Sadly, it’s sold out everywhere, so you’ll have to go to eBay or hope someone cancels their pre order to grab one.
