This week at PAX Australia, Bandai Namco, who is distributing the game in Australia, showed attendees a bit more of the game, including some of the player character’s abilities.

Reported by GameSpot, the two abilities are called “Demon Software” and “Nano Wire.” Demon Software lets players influence enemies, causing them to inflict damage upon themselves. GameSpot said the demo featured V, the game’s main character, using the ability to make an enemy NPC hit itself. It is not clear if the ability can make enemies use weapons on themselves.

Nano Wire is described as a hacking ability. It allows players to “connect with other characters in Night City.” This sounds like it might be a way to extract information from NPCs and other characters, or perhaps a way by which characters and NPCs will work together during missions.

The report says that the Nano Wire can also be used as a weapon.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch on April 16, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. CD Projekt Red, the game’s developer, recently released a small handful of brand-new, breathtaking screens focused on the game’s primary locale, Night City.

Earlier this year, we learned the highly-anticipated RPG will have a multiplayer mode, though that mode won’t release alongside the game. According to CDPR, it will release sometime after. As is often the case with these things, neither a specific date release date nor a release window was provided.

We’re sure to get more footage and additional trailers the closer we get to launch. But until then, here’s 48 minutes of gameplay.
