- Petcube – stay closer to your pet (Kickstarter project) – A high-end Wi-Fi aluminum cube with an HD camera, microphone, speakers, and low-intensity movable laser. What’s not to love? Entertain and stay in contact with your pets while you’re out and about. The project is just $15k shy of its $100k goal and will surely succeed within the next 36 days remaining. Grab one for just $149 and receive it sometime around May 2014.
- A.I Watch Smartwatch: The New intelligence life is here (Indiegogo project) – With The Samsung Galaxy Gear already in the wild and Apple’s iWatch in the works, many companies have released their own powerful smartwatches for the masses. The A.I Watch, for its part, will boast a dual-core 1.2Ghz processor and work on 3G networks. With full access to the Google Play store, the device will support thousands of apps right from the start. The design mirrors that of the Gear, but the independence of the smartwatch is enticing.
- Tessel: Hardware built for the web (Dragon Innovation project) – The popular programmable microcontroller Arduino has been quite successful, but for beginner programmers it can be a little difficult to get into and see results. Tessel, on the other hand, runs off of JavaScript which can be a little easier to pick up. In addition, it’s Node.js compatibility makes it easy to get the web world talking to the physical world of “things”.
- Padcaster Mini: make your tablet a mobile production suite (Kickstarter project) – The Padcaster Mini is for iPad mini owners who product content on-the-go and can take advantage of a sturdy frame with threaded holes for lights, mics and more.
