As the success stories keep piling up, so do the number of projects filling up crowdfunding websites with, among other things, neat hardware- and software-related products. Some projects, like Pebble, gain thousands of supporters as well as millions of dollars in funding (and end up at Best Buy’s retail stores). Other projects flop and don’t reach their necessary funding amount.

Rather than make you sift through all of these projects, we’re rounding up the best or most notable projects from around the web and delivering them to you in a simple roundup.

If there’s a project that you’ve backed – or even a project that you founded – be sure to leave a link below so it can be considered for the next roundup.

  • Qooqi for your cables (Kickstarter project) – All of my cables like to fall off my desk and into oblivion. I’ve tried small, adhesive cord holders in the past, but usually the cords tug on the holder so much that peel off. Qooqi, on the other hand, uses what they call “nano pad tad technology” which sounds a lot like the microsuction of my favorite NanoTek Stand dock.I personally backed this project and it has already exceeded its $10k goal. Expect the Qooqi to ship out in December.
  • ONEPOCKET – more than a case, more than a wallet (Kickstarter project) – There is no shortage of iPhone/wallet combo accessories, but the ONEPOCKET attempts to bring everything together by providing a large amount of space for money and cards as well as a hook for keys or USB drives.
  • FIN Case: The Best Case Scenario (Kickstarter project) – This case has a very unique way of holding credit/debit/ID cards. The FIN Slider, as demonstrated below, pushes out the cards from the side. With the magnetic strip showing, you can swipe your credit/debit card without having to take it out of the case fully.
  • CHAMELEON: Smartphone controlled LED Strip (FundAnything project) – As a huge “smart devices” advocate, this product really intrigues me. The Chameleon LED strips can be controlled from an iOS or Android device and can be cut to any length. Philips, maker of the Philips Hue, just came out with their own LED light strips, but at $59 for the Chameleon Controller Pack, this very enticing.
  • However, one must note that the project only has $962 of its $25,000 goal. The company decided to run the campaign on FundAnything, which is much less popular than Indiegogo or Kickstarter. That leads to less discovery and, in turn, less funding.
  • Sound Band – Headset without speakers (Kickstarter project) – With over $450k, well over its original $175k goal, this project is definitely a funding success. The Sound Band uses “surface sound technology” to transmit audio to your ears, meaning only you can hear music and you don’t have to block your ears with earbuds or headphones.
