Warning: SPOILERS for Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 4 and 5.

Crisis on Infinite Earths has officially soft-rebooted the Arrowverse, starting with merging all ongoing shows into one universe (including Supergirl and Black Lightning). The 5-hour event resumed with a highly anticipated finale that was said to be the biggest game-changer of all time in Greg Berlanti’s multi-franchise. The Anti-Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) and Oliver Queen as the Spectre (Stephen Amell) clashed in the fourth hour as the Emerald Archer took part in his final battle ever. The battle resulted in a new universe being born, thanks to Oliver and the seven Paragons. As the fifth hour opened up, the Paragons quickly came to realize that they had done more than simply rebirth their world - they rebooted it.

Starting with Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), Kara was the first hero to witness the new history of this universe. Despite his criminal history in the past, the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths erased Lex Luthor’s (Jon Cryer) crimes, as he was now recognized as one of the biggest heroes on the planet. Not only is the famous Luthor villain a Nobel Peace Prize winner, but he is also now the chief of the DEO. As J’onn J’onzz (David Harewood) eventually finds Kara, he reveals that only they remember the events of the Crisis.

The new changes didn’t stop there as Kara is joined by The Flash (Grant Gustin) later on as they take on a familiar foe. Confused over why they are on each other’s Earths, it is revealed that the last daughter of Krypton and the Scarlet Speedster now live on the same Earth. However, Supergirl’s world isn’t the only CW series to have merged with this new reality. During the final showdown against the Anti-Monitor, STAR Labs is under attack by Shadow Demons.

Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) and Heatwave (Dominic Purcell) are joined by another familiar face as Black Lightning (Jefferson Pierce) emerges to help them fight off some demons. After his world was destroyed in the first half of the crossover, Black Lightning’s universe has now also merged with the new reality. After starting out as existing outside the Arrowverse, Jefferson and the characters from his show are now together in the same universe a their fellow DC superheroes.

The crossover concludes with the new reality being known as Earth-Prime, rather than having any number attached to it. Moving forward, The Flash, Batwoman, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman and the upcoming Superman and Lois series will co-exist in the same universe. The line-up might also be joined by Green Arrow and the Canaries, should it get ordered to series. Crisis on Infinite Earths fulfilled a lot with this crossover, but it primarily accomplished the core element of the original story by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez: simplifying the sprawling DC multiverse and giving it a fresh start.
