Crisis on Infinite Earths, the ongoing 5-hour Arrowverse crossover event, is set to return on Tuesday, January 14 with two more parts of the game-changing storyline. Within the first three parts of the crossover has so much already happened. From the many DC cameos and appearances from other films and TV shows to life-changing ramifications for the Arrowverse as a whole, TPTB are making it clear that they are 100% serious with this story. With two parts left, fans will soon know what The CW’s DC TV universe will look like after the Crisis concludes.

Each episode has had several huge things go down that you either geeked out about or was shocked by as worlds are coming to an end. With so many episodes having aired already, there is a lot to process with the crossover already. With Crisis quickly approaching to resume the 5-show event, we’re taking a look at each part that has aired and breakdown the 10 best moments. Disclaimer: this list will include major spoilers from Batwoman season 1, episode 9 which is part 2 in the crossover.

Captain Cold Returns (Kind Of)

Wentworth Miller was never announced to show up in the crossover and technically he never did, physically. However, a voice guest spot by the former Captain Cold actor became a highlight in the event as Earth-74’s Waverider was recruited for the mission.

But what fans didn’t know was that Gideon had been replaced by Leonard the A.I. as the snarky Legend of another universe was the ship’s biggest resource. Hopefully, there will come a time when Miller is back, in the flesh, as any version of Leonard Snart.

Lex Luthor Reemerges

Apparently, the Monitor just doesn’t like sharing things with the heroes until the worst time ever. In part 2, that happens when Kara discovers that Lex Luthor is actually still alive. But it gets worse when she finds out that Mar Novu was the one to resurrect Lex as the godlike being stated that the mastermind criminal had a purpose.

The bigger question that should have been asked, however, is what has the Monitor and Lex been doing since Luthor got recruited all the way back in May?

Paragons Concept Introduced

Another surprise the Monitor had in store for the heroes was the concept of the Paragons. 7 heroes across the Multiverse that he believed could help stop the Crisis. It seems incredibly bizarre that there are only 7 out all the infinite Earths that exist/existed.

But more importantly, this is another instance where the gang should have confronted the Monitor why he is being so secretive and, basically, not helpful.

Recruiting Earth-96’s Superman

One of the most highly anticipated appearances of the crossover was Brandon Routh’s Superman from the Superman Returns/Christopher Reeve franchise. When they went to Earth-96, it brought out all of the nostalgia from the original Superman films.

With the classic score from John Williams to the exploration of what had happened in this timeline since fans last saw this iteration of the Man of Steel. While it was a very devastating revelation of what had gone down on Superman’s Earth, seeing Routh in the Kingdom Come suit was still a major moment for the Arrowverse.

Visit to Earth-99’s Bruce Wayne

Another Paragon that was on the mission list was Bruce Wayne of Earth-99. Iconic Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy finally steps into the live-action shoes of his character that he has voiced for all these years. But it was an even darker Bruce than what most fans probably expected.

Sporting his skeleton armor from Kingdom Come, this Batman had gone down an insanely grim path. It did come with some powerful moments between him and his cousin’s doppelganger as viewers find out that Kate died 5 years ago in this reality.

Oliver’s Resurrection

Despite getting a massive send-off in part 1, Mia and Barry were determined to resurrect the Emerald Archer as they refused to accept his death. Even though they all know the risks of the Lazarus Pit, they get help by Sara and Constantine in reviving his body, with the promise of retrieving his soul afterward.

As expected, Oliver returns to life with a functioning body, but soulless.

Superman vs Superman

While it took some years, Superman fans were finally given the chance to see the last son of Krypton battle himself in modern times. While Earth-96’s Clark is under the temporary control of Lex, a battle between the Supermen of two worlds takes place. It becomes one of those moments when fans probably thought to themselves how insanely amazing it is that they’re seeing this on television.

Luckily this Superman snaps out of it eventually, but it doesn’t take away the fact that that it was an amazing showdown.

Brandon Routh Meets Brandon Routh

With Routh pulling double-duty, it was a mystery whether or not Ray Palmer and Earth-96’s Superman would share any screentime together at all.

Fortunately for fans who wanted that to happen, they got exactly what they wished for as Routh shares a scene or two with himself. It is still never explained how this is even possible for Ray to be a completely different person in another reality and vice-versa.

Visit to Smallville on Earth-167

Another major appearance that many viewers were looking forward to was the return of Tom Welling and Erica Durance as Clark Kent and Lois Lane from Smallville. While it was only for one scene, it lasted for almost 5 minutes where fans of the 10-year long Superman based series got to see Welling back in his biggest role.

From seeing the Kent Farm to hearing the show’s old score beats, it was rewarding if you are a fan of the series. In addition to that, seeing Clark, without powers, get a throw at Lex was hilarious.

The Anti-Monitor Reveals Himself

It was only a matter of time until he finally revealed himself, but part 2 concludes with the big bad making his on-screen debut: the Anti-Monitor. Even though he had already been causing chaos prior and at the beginning of the crossover, he was still a force to be reckoned before he came on screen.

That can’t be said even to the strongest main baddies in the Arrowverse that have come and gone.
